My ideal clients would be children, adolescents, and young adults. Issues may include anger, anxiety, depression, behavior, self-harm, PTSD, and ADHD. Goals could include finding positive ways to live a balanced life, working on mental health, and reducing the mental health stigma to ensure clients can live a balanced, happy life.
I have experience in working with individuals in crisis intervention, behavioral issues in children/teens, substance use disorder, and knowledge in working with clients who reside in rural areas. My primary goal is to provide a nonjudgmental, supportive environment and relationship to assist clients in meeting their goals through learning to set boundaries, crisis intervention, and utilizing a strengths-based holistic biopsychosocial approach in using effective evidence-based assessments and practice modalities and working with the client to help empower themselves and reach self-determination.
My background includes a BA in Criminal Justice and a Master of Social Work. I am currently focusing on furthering my knowledge of modalities, such as TF-CBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based modalities. My passion is helping others to obtain a positive mindset and coping skills. I greatly enjoy working with my clients and strongly believe everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through their difficulties.
