Licensed Social Worker
I have worked with many different populations and areas of interest, such as anxiety, depression, trauma and Autism Spectrum Disorder. My ideal client is someone who is open to the therapeutic process and personal exploration. They are someone who wants to take the journey toward not just feeling better, but being better, to create sustained and long-lasting change.
I help my clients by meeting them where they are at and holding them in unconditional positive regard with a strengths-based perspective. I offer an empathetic space to explore both current and past trauma and mental health struggles. I also explore values and self-esteem issues as we often times are our own worst critics. I utilize several interventions in session, but typically start with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy for those who are new to the process.
I am a compassionate, empathetic clinician who also utilizes humor in session when appropriate. I find that therapy is more enjoyable when we can not only be our authentic self, but when we are open to more than just what is going “wrong” in our lives and can explore the positive aspects of our personhood, too.
