Licensed Social Worker
My ideal client would be receptive and open to an initial session to identify what they want to get from therapy and how I can help. A client knows a general goal, and we can develop and work on a plan utilizing trauma-informed CBT to assist the patient in reaching their goals. The client is willing to work hard to get from where they are to where they want to be by being receptive to gaining the coping skills necessary to achieve a successful outcome.
I am a safe space for you to discuss your therapy goals, where you are now, and where you want to be. I am here to assist and support you in identifying your goals and utilizing a person-centered, trauma-informed space to work on getting you from where you are now and where you want to be. Therapy can be a scary step, but look, you are here researching, and I am proud of you for that. I am here to listen with a non-judgmental lens to help, support, and guide you to achieve your goals.
I began in the field about twenty-eight years ago, working one-on-one with mental health clients. I am from Southern West Virginia and understand what it’s like to be unsure about how to seek help and resources. I am here to make that first step more manageable by offering you a warm welcome and the opportunity to share your story in a safe environment and see how I can assist you with your treatment goals. I have experience in the areas of abuse and neglect, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, substance use, and mental health for both children and adults. The first step is hard, but I am here to support you every step of the way. Reach out, schedule an appointment, and let’s see how I can assist you in reaching your therapy goals.
